Gilbert Group lands retail agent from Cassidy Turley
Carlton Dargusch IV has left Cassidy Turley to join Gilbert Group Inc.

Cassidy Turley
has suddenly found itself in need of rebuilding its retail leasing practice.
Columbus Business First readers may have already read that Kevin James and Micha Bitton left the real estate brokerage Jan. 17 for Colliers International
’s Columbus office after several years at Cassidy Turley and its predecessor, Turley Martin Tucker Co., which held the Colliers franchise in the market until 2010.
Today comes word that retail agent Carlton Dargusch IV, who also focused on retail leasing transactions at Cassidy Turley, has left to join Gilbert Group Inc.
, a boutique brokerage and management company in Columbus perhaps best known as a marketer and manager of retail properties.
Gilbert Group Vice President Aaron Gilbert said he and Dargusch are friends, having graduated together from Bexley High School in 1994.
“We’re bringing on somebody with an incredible amount of experience,” said Gilbert, who noted CoStar Realty Information Inc. recognized his school pal three times with its “power broker” award.
(Coincidently, James and Bitton are Bexley school chums and graduated just ahead of Gilbert and Dargusch.)
Dargusch will represent landlords and tenants, but will handle the listings himself without a leasing partner, Gilbert said. He called the timing of Dargusch arrival unrelated to the moves of James and Bitton.
“We’ve had these conversations for a number of years,” he said.
The departures leave Cassidy Turley a bit thin on the retail leasing side. Kelly Godshall, Cassidy Turley marketing manager, said investment sales agents Zane Fry and Jeff Baur remain at the brokerage. Fry’s online profile shows extensive retail sales transactions, and Baur’s profile lists retail sales deals along with several multifamily and other property types.
